What a crazy busy holiday weekend!
This post is totally random and really has nothing to do with photography, technically speaking. I have no trips or tricks no sneak peeks to brag about. What I did want to accomplish today was a more personal look at each other. As some of you know, my family is strung out all over and we don’t physically get to see each other that much. In order for my to feel grounded and give my kids a “sense” of belonging I have reached out to friends locally and virtually. I read lots of blogs (too many for sure!) and have developed a connection with many amazing people through the internet. I have met some life-changing friends here in McKinney that I couldn’t live without. I will admit that I am a blog stalker and should try to reach out more. This is my attempt to do so.
I want to know more of you BETTER. I get lots of hits on my blog but realized that I haven’t “met” a good portion of you. So please introduce yourself in the comments section. A quick hello and a random fact would make my day sunny!
Here are 4 random things I cannot live without on a daily basis. What are yours?
1. Diet Dr. Pepper. I probably drink gallons of this stuff. Oh and I ALWAYS drink with a straw. My husband thinks I am a crazy person and laughs at my straw basket I keep in the kitchen right next to the cups. Imagine my utter joy when I found the plastic reusable cup with a built in straw that won’t come out. (dishwasher safe and child-stealing proof). By now you probably think I am crazy as well.
2. Avocado and Jojoba Lip Balm. This is my sister’s company and I have to say I have never used a more awesome lip chap. I have one of these beside my bed, in my purse, on my desk. I can NOT stand for my lips to be dry.

3. My color coded calendar. Each family member has a color for his/her activities. I am a visual person and this is the only method that keeps me sane. I know most people would laugh and simply use their iPhone but if I don’t write it down it is going to get forgotten. (I actually use my iPhone as well….more like a backup)

4. Photoshop. While Photoshop is a necessary tool for my business, it is also something I love. I find great satisfaction in curling up at my desk with a mountain of photos to work my magic on. I am a self taught Photoshop user which probably means I should really take a refresher course one of these days!

This girl is always by my side up in my business “helping” all day. She is one of my favorite things. Hands down.

Your turn. Leave me some LOVE and 4 things I never knew about you.
