Not sure when it happened but over the last few years I have become insanly obsessed with fingernail polish! I just can’t get enough. I see it as 10 tiny canvases attached to my body just waiting to be turned into something great. I did some design work for my sister and as a thank you she showed up at my door with a basket full of Nicole by OPI…OMG! Way better than cash in my book! I was going to make my super handy husband make me a custom storage shelf for my collection, but that required time and we are short on that around here so I came up with the idea of using a jewlery organizer for my bottles. I LOVE it. I can easily see every shade and I can organize them by color or brand. I have this hanging in my closet up where my daughter can NOT reach it. (I fear she is developing the same craze for the stuff as I do!) Thanks to Pintrest, I have more ideas for my nails than I can handle!

Oh sweet Oreo truffle pops how I love thee….they are not the prettiest, but they are the tastiest! the kids helped me make these for UFC a few weeks ago!

Julie and Jeff Part 2! – Chestnut Square, McKinney Texas

Julie and Jeff wanted to have two engagement sessions with two different looks! I think this second session was super laid back and fun! We wandered around Chestnut Square in McKinney around sunset with their sweet dog, Lola! Julie’s and Jeff’s wedding is just around the corner and I am really excited to see all the details come together. Julie was so sweet and sent me a pic of her dress….GORGEOUS!!!! I cannot wait until March!

What is Trash the Dress?!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the awesome ideas that are coming in! KEEP submitting your creative Trash the Dress ideas and remember we are picking a winner on Valentine’s Day! Along with the submissions we have gotten some questions as to what a Trash the Dress session really is? I mean- let’s face it, is your daughter really going to wear your wedding dress 30 years later? Why not throw that bad boy on and have some fun! A Trash the Dress session can be anything you want it to be. A second chance to get all dolled up and have some FUN!!! Take your handsome groom along for the ride and see what happens. What a cool session to have framed or turned into a canvas for your bedroom or game room.

Kim and Kyle’s Downtown McKinney Engagement Session

Kim and Kyle are getting married in May and I cannot wait for their big day! I fell in love with these two right away. Both are so warm and easy to talk to it was a perfect fit! They are getting married in McKinney so a downtown engagement session was a must! Kim has amazing hair and beautiful eyes! Kyle is laid back and super funny. I had a hard time keeping my camera still due to all the giggling…my favorite. Cheers to a fun and colorful session and a stunning wedding in just a few months!

Rachel and Jesse are Married! McKinney Texas Cotton Mill

Talk about stunning! Chris and I watched as Rachel was transformed into the most beautiful bride ever. The day started out relaxed by getting ready at the Troy Richard Salon in Frisco. The girls laughed and chatted while sipping mimosas and munching on Jimmy John’s sandwiches. I felt so welcomed from the second I met Rachel and it was a pleasure working alongside her and her family throughout the day. I can’t believe we get paid to hang out with such cool people!

The wedding took place at the McKinney Cotton Mill and looked darling with personal details added by Rachel and Jesse throughout the venue. I nearly died when I saw her shoes and that vibrant pop of red from her bouquet was a perfect match with the rustic feel of the Cotton Mill. A short and sweet ceremony was followed by tasty BBQ catered by Hutchins a local favorite and a rocking reception…it was perfect! By the end of the night, Jesse was all smiles and even asked to pose for a picture with Chris. The crowed was fun, energetic and danced away the night to end this beautiful day!

Kolbie Hope is 3!

Three!!!! No way! I refuse to accept thatit was actually her birthday. I saw it as just an excuse to throw a party, not really believing an entire year has already gone by. I asked her what kind of party she wanted and she said art and stickers. This is what we came up with! It is so neat to see her personality change each year and become more involved. Watching her with her tiny firends is too cute for words. Thanks to everyone that came out to help us celebrate. It sort of looks like Tangled threw up in my house.

Kolbie is so fun and spunky. She loves her daddy like no other and loves to help me cook and clean. She rides her tricycle through the house about 100 times a day and if I am on the phone you can bet she will probably try and cut into the conversation. She has to have a pony tail on the right side of her head EVERYDAY and is still attached to her mimi. She could care less about peeing on the potty and thinks snow is crunchy. She loves to sing and read books and if you play chase with her, the game will never end. I love that sweet baby to death and wouldn’t change a single thing! She is the sound of sunshine coming down.

Sweet baby Kylee! – Downtown McKinney

Tis the season for all things happy and sweet! Kylee is no exception! We met in Downtown McKinney one chilly morning last week to take some photos of this beauty and her sweet Mama. It was fun chasing her around trying to capture her personality and spunk. I adore her tiny red converse and skinny jeans. ADORABLE!!!! When you shoot young children they really shed light on the world in a different way. I love watching them get excited over the smallest detail and squeal over the funniest things. This session was even more special know that Kim and Laci (my cousin’s new wife) are good friends! Hope you both have a wonderful holiday season and I look forward to shooting again!

McKinney family session – Chestnut Square

I met this sweet family through a mutual friend and immediatley fell in love with them. The little girls are just precious and big sister is adorable. We wondered around Chestnut Square squeeling and acting crazy trying to get some decent shots of the babies! At one point Dad was holding a corn stalk doing the rain dance. (I have found that poeple, including myself, will do just about anything to get kids to smile! It was well worth it. Look how awesome this family is! We were able to capture some group shots, cousins, sisters, grandparents, aunts and uncles…the whole gang.
