This was my first style shoot. I learned a ton, but most of all I had a BLAST!!!! I love the creative community and the wedding industry is bursting with amazing people who love what they do and do what they love. I approached Wendy with Each and Every Detail with an idea I had about a shoot involving a pickle jar pretzel bar and a hopscotch runner. She was tickled and we jumped right in with the concept and contacted some awesome vendors to help make it happen! I was also lucky enough to have a super cute cousin that was willing to play dress up and fill in as our models! They totally ROCKED it! Laci could pull off any dress and this sweet tea length beauty from Circle Park Bridal in Dallas was perfect for our vision. Southern Fried Paper took the game idea and ran with it. How stinking adorable are the game board save the dates and with Layered Bake Shop’s cookies as game pieces just sent it over the edge! When Wendy and I needed some vintage pieces for the display areas we knew just who to ask…..Rita with Rent My Dust!!! Wow! Rita has been collecting Dust for over 30 years and we loved looking through her treasures and picking the perfect pieces! The whole idea was to create a DIY type event that could be easily reciprocated by any bride on any budget. A little creativity goes a long way!
We were honored to be featured on Style Me Pretty today! Take a second and check out the post! : Game of Love
A BIG shout out to my husband who created the chalkboard scoreboard! Also to Big D Party and Event Rentals for the wine barrels and to Ashley Stiff who did the ladies’s hair and make up. The shoot location was at the gorgeous Heard-Craig Center for the Arts in Downtown McKinney.
